"Work work work."-Peon circa-1994 Warcraft: Orcs and Humans

MS Excel spreadsheets are porn to me right now, and the Excel 2k3 Bible is my bedside reading of choice. Dork.

Anyway quick update on all things cool, for me at least.

So yeah the 17" MBP looks wicked (sans the $2,800 pricetag) with that much real-estate sitting on your screen, you're sure to draw stares at the local coffee-shop-while-leeching-free-wifi. And the thing is just over an inch think, sweet. Then again, this could be a great time to get that 15" MBP, seeing how the release of the 17" variant signals that the quirks of earlier rev.versions of the MBP must've been ironed out. Oh but this could also mean that a 12" "roadwarrior could be in Apple's pipeline...

I've been playing a LOT of Lumines lately. Lumines II is about to come out, and y'all who own a PS2 are getting some Lumines-love.

I was going through my DVD of Oldboy the other night and found myself loving it a lot more since I first saw it. Beautiful colours, Oh Dae-Su's kickass shades. Man, and the commentary track was a joy to follow. If you still haven't watched it, get off your ass and go download it or head on over to Amazon. You can also source it from my friend Parc's website.

While you're doing that watch these too! Garden State, Thumbsucker, Hostel!!!!!! or be OC like me and try watching all of IMDB's Top 250 Films(this list gets updated regularly, so you may want to check or re-print that list you're planning to print); I plan to watch all 250 (and whatever gets added to the list). Wanna join me? :)

If you still haven't heard of youtube.com, you should check it out. Addicting I tell 'ya, just as addicting as flickr(I'm contemplating on getting a paid account!). Oh and get some Jpop funk in ya will 'ya: CHEMISTRY, Depapepe, and Dragon Ash. *APIR*

Was at the 10th Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta over the weekend at Clark. Had a blast. My modelling club had an exhibit. I'm going back next year! Fun fun fun! Lot's of flying happening, hot air baloons, ultralight planes, even a parachute-flying team was there! Oh yeah, someone even gave a marriage proposal while riding one of the balloons!

OMFG! Fallout 3 baby!

Apple shipping MacBook Pros with faster processors! FTW! Now to confirm if the ones coming in this month to the Philippines have this. :)

Oh and check this out: PortalPlayer could make wireless iPods a reality in 2006

Go Hideo Kojima(Metal Gear Solid God), tell Uwe Boll to bug off and back off from trying to make an MGS adaptation!

Thursday, February 02, 2006

Uwe Boll nominated for Razzie Worst Director award. What'd I tell ya a couple of months before, huh? Bloodrayne's out, so you might want to avoid that. Check out his profile on imdb, and cry over the list of game-to-movie adaptations he's slotted to make. He ought to win the award.

--

Supposed World Of Warcraft the Movie "images". You might want to put down that drink before you click the link, otherwise you'd best prepare to have stuff come out of your nose.

--

And these t-shirt folding thingamajig-techniques have evolved over time, huh. Check out this HOWTO video on making a t-shirt folding machine!

--

Duke Nukem Forever in "full production". Hell yeah.

--

Oh look, some ugly-american-girl's trip to Jollibee has sparked the thread linking to her supposed "exposure" (I smell ridicule) trip in her forum to bloat to around 37 pages. When I first read her entry, it had only 4 pages! You had it coming, girl.

If you use Firefox, install this plugin. Great tool for tab-monsters, like me.

Lastly, check out these photos of Olivo Barbieri. Real places shot to look like scale-models. Kickass. More of these stuff here. Apparently these photographers use Shift-lenses. And here's a HOWTO on making your own DIY shift-lens. ;)
